Stark Reminders: Time and Goals are a Construct
The game in Toronto may have proved that time is a construct (and given us all an existential crisis or two as a result), but the game in Edmonton proved that goals — the good, the bad, and the fluky — are also a construct. Reminder No. Hello?

First-round back-to-backs favor NHL teams with 2 top goalies
After a season of splitting goaltending duties to keep them rested for the playoffs, Bruce Cassidy knew several months off had cut into that well-planned advantage for the Boston Bruins. With the back-to-back in his first-round series against Carolina set for Games 5 and 6 more than a week away, Cassidy figured his staff could ''cross that bridge when we come to it'' on how to handle the workload. Then, the five-overtime marathon between Tampa Bay and Columbus on Tuesday pushed Game 1 of Carolina-Boston back to Wednesday and created another back-to-back dilemma.

Milan Lucic Has Turned Back the Clock With the FlamesDraft SharePreviewPublish
Admit it: You thought Milan Lucic was done. The once-intimidating power forward had been a non-factor for most of the season for the Calgary Flames and only arrived in town via trade from Edmonton in a rare intra-Alberta swap for James Neal, in which both teams were trying to salvage something from bad contracts that had been signed. Joe Pavelski tied it with 31.4 seconds left in the third period, Anton Khudobin stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout and the Dallas Stars beat the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in round-robin play Sunday to clinch the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. After Denis Gurianov scored the only goal of the shootout, Dallas will face the Calgary Flames in the first round of the playoffs. The Stars have some momentum going into that best-of-seven series after picking up their first win of any kind since Feb. 25.
