| DALLAS — Igor Shesterkin stopped 41 shots, including 23 on seven successful penalty kills, and the struggling New York Rangers beat the Dallas Stars 3-1 on Friday night to end a three-game losing streak. The Rangers also scored on their penalty kill, Reilly Smith's short-handed goal tying the score midway through the first period. | A Dallas Stars fan's dream came true this week thanks to a partnership between the team and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Holden McCoy, an eighth-grade from Wylie who lives and breathes hockey, was allowed to experience the thrill of the rink in ways few can imagine. At the age of 8, Holden was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a condition that primarily affects the lungs. |

| Dallas Stars Daily Links: Victory is Victorious |
| When the Dallas Stars announced that they would be airing their games on Victory+, which is free for in-market households, it was greeted with a lot of positive response, but with a lot of questions as well. With this decision, the Stars joined a very small group of teams that also offered free broadcasting, which includes the Anaheim Ducks (Victory+), Vegas Golden Knights, Utah Hockey Club & Florida Panthers (Scripps). What sets the Stars and Ducks apart from the rest of the pack is that Victory+ is exclusively a streaming service versus on-air. | Although the milestone came in losing fashion, Jamie Benn has now played more games than anyone else in the history of the Dallas Stars. The captain skated in contest No. 1,143 for the organization in a 5-3 defeat at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, per The Dallas News' Kellen Bulger. The record previously belonged to Dallas legend Mike Modano, who technically is still first if his games are counted before the team moved to Dallas — he has played 1,459 games between the Stars and Minnesota North Stars. |
