Sens Draft D Chandler Romeo with Final Pick
With their sixth and final pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, the Ottawa Senators selected defenceman Chandler Romeo of the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Brantford 99ers, 202nd overall. Romeo (pronounced Roh-may-oh), turned 18 just over a week ago, and was a third-round pick of the Ontario Hockey League’s Hamilton Bulldogs in 2019. The 6’5, 205lb left-handed defenceman spent the following season with the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Brantford Bandits, as well as with the OJHL’s 99ers.

Sens Trade into Fourth Round, Select Latimer
A pick lost, and a pick gained. After acquiring the 136th overall pick from the Los Angeles Kings earlier today, the Ottawa Senators flipped the selection along with the 170th pick, to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for the 123rd pick. With that pick, they select forward Carson Latimer from the WHL’s Edmonton Oil Kings.

It’s hard to know much about the kid with so little information to go off of, but hopefully Ottawa’s scouts know something that other teams don’t.
