Kraken's AHL Affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds Release 2025-26 Schedule
The Coachella Valley Firebirds have released their 2025-26 Regular Season schedule. The Firebirds will be looking to start off hot when they open the season at home with a matchup against the San Diego Gulls on Friday, October 10th at 7 pm PST. This will mark the Firebird's 4th season in the American Hockey League and as the Seattle Kraken's AHL affiliate.

Lindgren eager to play significant role with 'up-and-coming' Kraken
Ryan Lindgren said he's excited not only about a new opportunity with the Seattle Kraken this season, but the familiarity the move will also bring. The 27-year-old defenseman, who signed a four-year, $18 million contract ($4.5 million average annual value) with the Kraken on July 1, reunites with forward Kaapo Kakko, who was a teammate of Lindgren's for six seasons with the New York Rangers. The Rangers traded Kakko to the Kraken on Dec. 18, 2024, and Lindgren to the Colorado Avalanche on March 1.

The Colorado Avalanche added former Seattle head coach Dave Hakstol to their staff Tuesday as an assistant to boost a power-play unit that struggled in the playoffs. Hakstol joins an Avalanche staff under coach Jared Bednar that includes Nolan Pratt, goaltending coach Jussi Parkkila and assistant/video coach Brett Heimlich.
