Beyond The Blade
We’re back this week with a new episode and actually a decent amount of Buffalo Sabres content to discuss. Before we got into the Sabres talk we kicked this episode off with an impromptu discussion on the best flavors of milkshakes and juice. A riveting conversation for sure.

Sabres of Yesterday | Hockey Diversity Panel Part Two
It’s just that you worked all season long with these guys to get to the ultimate goal and all of the sudden they’re like, ‘okay, now you’ve got to go up to Buffalo and sit in case somebody gets hurt. That was really disappointing for me that year. But yeah, definitely great memories from Western New York.

Building the Sabres: 2020 offseason projection 2.0
Just like last time, I’ll go through re-signing restricted free agents, the draft, trades, and unrestricted free agency to put together a roster that could be competitive next season. I did my best to be reasonable in trades and used Evolving Hockey’s contract projections as the guide to give new contracts. Remember, this is just for fun and to spark some discussion.

On his last day on the Sabres' payroll, memories of GM Tim Murray
On social media, he became known simply as GMTM. For a little more than three crazy years, he was the general manager of the Buffalo Sabres. And much like Jason Botterill, Tim Murray was shown the door by Terry and Kim Pegula when he never expected it.

Article content continued PERSONALLY SPEAKING As a hockey player and a person, Marian Hossa is a true first-ballot Hall of Famer … When I was 16, I thought in retirement I’d play golf every day. After selection to Hall, Jarome Iginla says he understands Jack Eichel's frustration
Iginla made his NHL debut for the Calgary Flames during the 1996 playoffs, appearing in two games against Chicago. He then played his first seven NHL seasons without getting back to the postseason, so he can relate to Eichel's five-season drought since joining the Sabres in 2015. "It's frustrating.

Caption Close Jason Spezza's confidence in the NHL returning has not been shaken by word of 11 fellow players testing positive for the coronavirus. Given his involvement in NHL Players' Association talks, the veteran Toronto forward knew from doctors' input there would be positive test results in hockey just as there have been in other sports as group workouts ramp up across North America.

Detroit has an 18.5% chance of having the No. pick overall in the draft, on a day to be determined, after trailing every NHL team by at least 23 points and finishing 61 points behind the league-leading Boston Bruins. So, until those newly in charge acquire or promote some fresh talent, and/or/if Casey Mittelstadt figures it out at the big-league level, your Buffalo targets in any conventional fantasy league includes Eichel, Reinhart, Olofsson and defender Rasmus Dahlin. That's it.
